I am writing
to thank you for all the help and advice you have given me
during the career consultation process and in particular your
interpretation and explanation of the careers inventory
assessment.
As I
explained during our consultation, I have been involved in the
finance sector for over 30 years now and have never felt
particularly fulfilled by my work. Despite rising to a fairly
senior position within both my company and my field I have
become increasingly disenchanted with my work, but after such a
long time in one particular industry it was difficult to see
what other possibilities might be open to me.
The results
of the assessment are a real eye opener. Not only did they give
me whole new areas of work to explore that I had never even
considered, but it also confirmed quite graphically what I
already felt about my current job- that my level of interest in
this field is not very high and I would be happier in any number
of other careers. It is early days yet but I have already begun
to research some of the areas that scored highly on my
assessment, including setting up my own business, and hope to be
making some major changes later this year.
